Initiated and powered by the Luxembourg House of Financial Technology (LHoFT) and supported by the Ministry of Finance, the AI Experience Centre was officially inaugurated on 13 April 2026 — a defining moment for Luxembourg’s financial sector and a clear statement of the Grand Duchy’s ambition to lead in responsible, impactful AI for finance. H.R.H. The Grand Duke attended the opening as guest of honour, alongside Prime Minister Luc Frieden and Minister of Finance Gilles Roth, whose presence underlines the strategic significance of the initiative at the highest levels of government.

A flagship hub for advancing AI in financial services, the Centre reflects the objectives set out in the Government’s National Artificial Intelligence Strategy (May 2025) and aligns with the national AI4LUX campaign launched on March 4th 2026. It is a Luxembourg initiative to position the Grand Duchy as an innovative, inclusive and sovereign AI ecosystem to lead in responsible and impactful AI for finance.

Located on the 4th floor of the LHoFT, the Centre brings together more than 20 live, interactive demonstrations from Luxembourg-based start-ups and international innovators carefully curated for the strategic and operational challenges facing financial executives, regulators and risk managers. Exhibits span wealth management, compliance, risk management and sustainability, and rotate everysix months to ensure content remains current and impactful. This is not a static showcase, it is a living, evolving space designed to keep pace with one of the fastest-moving fields in the world.

The exhibitor lineup spans ten countries across three continents. Luxembourg’s own ecosystem is strongly represented, with Virtual Rangers, Dragon LLM, Dotika (bryf.ai), RMT Labs, ChatESG and Luscent showcasing the strength of homegrown AI talent. They are joined by a distinguished international cohort: Ravatar (Cyprus), Aisot (Switzerland), Altilia (Italy), Getquin and Yukka (Germany),PloutosX, Synthera AI, Datambit, Yoono and TEXpert AI (United Kingdom), MarvelX and CareKYC (Netherlands), Arlequin (France), RiskThinking.ai (Canada) and Kalipso (Spain) together representing the global frontier of AI innovation in finance.

The AI Experience Centre aims at accelerating responsible AI adoption and strengthening collaboration across Luxembourg’s financial ecosystem. As AI continues to reshape global finance, it will serve as a dedicated space for experimentation, knowledge exchange and long-term value creation, essential to maintaining the competitiveness and resilience that define Luxembourg as an internationally connected hub for AI in finance.

Education is central to this mission: through its partners and LHoFT flagship education and acceleration programs, the Centre supports both today’s financial professionals and the next generation of talent entering the sector.

Minister of Finance Gilles Roth stated: “Artificial intelligence represents a transformative opportunity for the financial sector. With the AI Experience Centre, we are translating our national strategy into concrete action for finance. Our objective is clear: to ensure that Luxembourg not only keeps pace with global developments but actively shapes the future of AI in finance: responsibly, securely, and in close collaboration with our ecosystem.”

“Artificial intelligence is transforming how companies innovate and compete. That is why Luxembourg launched the national AI4LUX campaign last month, positioning Luxembourg as an innovative and inclusive AI ecosystem. The AI Experience Center offers companies in the financial sector a unique chance to experience AI in practice and turn technology into value,” said Prime Minister Luc Frieden.

The AI Experience Centre is designed to inspire and educate the Industry, accelerating adoption, ensuring that Luxembourg continues to be a leader in Financial Services as we transition to the AI-driven economy”

Dr. Esli Spahiu, AI Experience Centre Manager at the LHoFT who built the centre from ground up stated: “AI stops being uncertain once it can be experienced, tested, and challenged firsthand. That’s when the conversation changes. This Centre exists to create that moment, while also fostering a space for ongoing collaboration, where industry stakeholders can connect, exchange ideas, and stay relevant through a continuous stream of new and evolving AI use cases.”

By anchoring this flagship initiative within its broader strategic vision, the Ministry of Finance reaffirms its commitment to strengthening Luxembourg’s position as a leading international financial centre at the forefront of technological innovation.
