Ecosystem and Fintech Growth Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at the Luxembourg House of Financial Technology (LHoFT) and to help drive meaningful change across Luxembourg’s financial services ecosystem. This is a prominent role within the LHoFT, responsible for managing a key initiative on behalf of the Luxembourg Financial Centre.

About the Role
The Ecosystem and Fintech Growth Manager will report to the Head of Ecosystem and Partnerships and will work closely with the wider LHoFT team, in particular the Ecosystem team. The role holder will be responsible for business development, fintech incubation, and a range of programmes related to fintech scaling, funding schemes, startup support, and innovation projects, among others. This includes working with third-party institutions and government departments to follow up on action items and issues, maintain project progress reporting, and prepare supporting documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development
• Attract the most strategic fintechs to Luxembourg
• Represent the LHoFT and the Luxembourg fintech ecosystem at international fairs and events
• Take ownership of the execution of relevant fintech events, in Luxembourg and abroad, coordinating across all
stakeholders to ensure success criteria are met
• Connect innovative fintechs with the Luxembourg financial industry
• Manage sales and budget activities, including sales pipeline management, oversight of budgets related to
incubation and fintech membership, and consistent filing and reporting of project documentation

Growing the Fintech Ecosystem
• Contribute to the development of LHoFT’s unique value proposition and differentiators, acting as a voice for the foundation and prioritising requests and ideas strategically to make well-informed recommendations
• Work with the LHoFT team and relevant third parties to define objectives, success criteria, strategy, and plans for scaling fintechs
• Foster cooperation between the broader Luxembourg ecosystem and relevant fintech stakeholders
• Work with the Ecosystem and Innovation teams to ensure effective coordination and synergy between acceleration programmes and support for the fintech community
• Act as the go-to resource for the LHoFT fintech community on matters of scaling, business development, and funding, working with Luxembourg-based and international stakeholders to enable startup growth

Marketing and Promotion
• Work with the Marketing team to plan and raise awareness of LHoFT’s value proposition, including for sponsorship and applications
• Work with the Marketing team to ensure effective event management where required
• Protect the LHoFT brand and identity, ensuring consistency across all external touchpoints

Running the LHoFT Incubator
• Run the LHoFT incubation programme
• Agree, report on, and achieve appropriate KPIs with the Head of Ecosystem and Partnerships
International Partnerships
• Develop and nurture international relationships with relevant fintech incubators and accelerators

Team Collaboration and Support
• Be a conscientious and respectful team player, working closely with the LHoFT team to achieve shared business objectives
• Seek help when needed, remain open to input, act transparently, focus on solutions rather than issues, manage business risk, and treat others as you would wish to be treated

• Support the LHoFT in meeting its responsibilities to stakeholders, stepping in for other team members where
appropriate and helping ensure the LHoFT continues to deliver on expectations

Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone who brings most of the following:
• A bachelor’s degree in economics, business, or IT is an advantage
• Knowledge of, or a genuine enthusiasm for, fintech
• Relevant experience in sales and business development
• Ability to multi-task and manage a range of projects simultaneously
• Agility, with the ability to respond quickly to new priorities
• An analytical and diligent approach to work
• Demonstrable ability to influence others, build relationships with a wide variety of people, and position a case effectively to get things done
• Willingness to learn new technologies and methods, and to develop new competencies
• Creativity, in both ideas and execution
• An organised, level-headed approach, able to assess situations and plan and implement actions in a constructive and logical way
• Confidence to work autonomously, take responsibility, and make sound decisions
• Willingness to ask for help or input to ensure the best outcomes
• A collaborative mindset, involving others and drawing on their skills while contributing your own toward shared team goals
• Demonstrable ability to execute and deliver results
• Excellent written communication skills
• Fluency in English and French, both spoken and written; Luxembourgish and German are an advantage
