Laurent Marochini is Head of Innovation at Societe Generale Securities Services in Luxembourg and Head of the Innovation Lab #LePlateauLux and Blockchain Leader for the Group since 2018. He is also Co-Chairman of the ALFI Working Group Blockchain & Crypto Currencies and Member of the Fintech & Digital Executive Committee.Notable awards: “Top 4 Fintech Leader of the year for Luxembourg by Finance Awards (2017); Top 21 Regtech worldwide Leader by Medici (2018); Twice awarded 2nd Worldwide Best Innovation Maker of Societe Generale [masked]).”
Radu State is the Head of the research group SEDAN (Service and Data Management) at SnT. Radu has been also active in disseminating and promoting science and technology to a larger audience. He has organized several meetups and hackathons in Fintech as a modest contribution within a larger effort to establish Luxembourg as a leading place for innovation in Fintech. As such, he and his team are the technological leaders of the Infrachain project, aiming at operating a distributed ledger (blockchain) over a heterogeneous IT infrastructure.
Andy’s role as bitFlyer’s COO is the natural result of a career and education that has spanned many aspects of finance and technology, including roles as the global COO for M&A advisory firm BDA Partners and as the CEO of his own A.I. tech start-up. Andy is a Japanese speaker and has a passion for all things crypto and blockchain-related. He studied robotics in Japan and authored prize-winning research relating to decentralization. Andy has lived and worked in 4 countries across 3 continents, and as a Blockchain & Fintech commentator is regularly featured in the media and publications including Financial Times, Business Insider, Coindesk, Wired, Yahoo Finance, Blockchain Insider, and Verdict. Hanna Deleanu is former postdoctoral fellow at Yale Law School and current fellow at Utrecht University where she leads the Regulation of Innovation: FinTech research group at the Faculty of Economics, Law, and Governance. Deleanu’s work focuses on the design of governance mechanisms that reduce financial crime: corruption and money laundering. Deleanu’s research intends to help regulators address the risks generated by novel financial technologies – Blockchain and virtual currencies – without crushing innovation.
