This is a unique and exciting opportunity to lead the operations of the new AI Experience Centre at the Luxembourg House of Financial Technology (LHoFT), and to shape the future of artificial intelligence (AI) in the financial services industry.

What is the role?

As the AI Experience Centre Manager, you will oversee the management, operations, and strategic direction of the Centre, ensuring it delivers exceptional experiences for visitors and stakeholders. The Centre will showcase cutting-edge AI applications and serve as a hub for innovation, education, and collaboration within Luxembourg’s financial services sector. You will report directly to the CEO of LHoFT and collaborate closely with technology partners, stakeholders, and industry leaders to ensure the Centre operates at the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

Centre Management and Operations
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the AI Experience Centre, ensuring seamless visitor experiences and effective demonstrations of AI technologies.
  • Manage the technical infrastructure, including AI tools, AR/VR installations, interactive displays, and other technology-driven components.
  • Coordinate with LuxProvide and other partners to ensure smooth technical operation and availability of the MeluXina supercomputer for demonstrations.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure efficiency, safety, and high-quality experiences.
Strategic Planning and Development
  • Lead the strategic development of the Centre, working to continuously enhance its offerings, features, and technological capabilities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including technology partners, financial institutions, academia, and regulators.
  • Identify emerging trends in AI and fintech and incorporate them into the Centre’s programming and exhibits.
  • Seek out new partnerships and collaborations that can enhance the Centre’s capabilities and profile within Luxembourg and internationally.
Program Development and Execution
  • Design and execute a range of programs and events at the Centre, including live AI demonstrations, workshops, and training sessions for financial sector professionals.
  • Develop and manage content for educational programs aimed at different audiences, including senior executives, fintech innovators, and university students.
  • Curate exhibits and showcases that demonstrate the practical application of AI in the financial services sector, ensuring relevance and impact.
  • Work with marketing and communications teams to promote events and programs, ensuring strong visibility and engagement within the fintech and financial services communities.
Budget and Resource Management
  • Develop and manage the Centre’s budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to support ongoing operations, technology upgrades, and program delivery.
  • Oversee procurement and contracts for technology, services, and equipment, ensuring high-quality delivery within budget constraints.
  • Track financial performance and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining a high standard of service and operations.
Stakeholder and Visitor Engagement
  • Act as the main point of contact for visitors, partners, and stakeholders engaging with the Centre.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with corporate partners, government bodies, and academic institutions to support the Centre’s growth and relevance.
  • Collect and analyse visitor feedback to continuously improve the experience and tailor offerings to the needs of the financial sector.
  • Promote and represent the AI Experience Centre at conferences, industry events, and in the media to enhance its reputation as a global leader in AI innovation for finance.

The person we are looking for will likely have the following attributes:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing or directing technology centers, innovation hubs, or similar facilities, with a strong focus on AI, fintech, or financial services.
  • A level of technical proficiency and an understanding of artificial intelligence, data analytics, and high-performance computing (HPC) would be valuable.
  • Experience with project and budget management, with a track record of successfully managing complex operations and programs.
  • Leadership and strategic thinking skills with the ability to foster collaboration across multiple stakeholders and drive results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.
  • Marketing and event management experience is a plus, with the ability to promote the Centre and its activities to various audiences.
  • Fluency in English is essential; French and other language skills would be advantageous.
