But is it? We are not yet seeing large scale deployment of Blockchain based solutions in any sector, let alone in financial services. Will it really change the world or will it fade and die? Why should we care about Blockchain and what value could it really deliver to businesses, to us as individuals, and to global economics?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Caroline Malcolm heads the Global Blockchain Policy Centre at the OECD.<\/strong>\u00a0The OECD, as other supranational\/international bodies are working hard on coordinating blockchain research and policy across their members. We will hear from Caroline about the work of the OECD on Blockchain and why it is important to them and us.<\/p>\n<h3><u><big>Agenda and Learning Outcomes:<\/big><\/u><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>What work is the OECD conducting on blockchain and why?<\/li>\n<li>How are countries looking at blockchain, where will it add value?<\/li>\n<li>What more can be done to drive blockchain adoption? Will international coordination help, and can that be expected?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><u>Learn more about\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/malcolmcaroline\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Caroline Malcolm\u00a0<\/a><\/u><\/h3>\n<p>Caroline heads the OECD\u2019s work on blockchain, assessing its policy implications &amp; building solutions to ensure governments across the world can access and respond to the opportunities and challenges it raises. In this capacity, she has also developed a training programme for policymakers on DLT, leads an advisory board of 100 global blockchain experts, and coordinates a network of project managers across the OECD relating to blockchain in topics as diverse as competition policy, SMEs, the environment, data privacy and the sustainable development goals.<\/p>\n<h3><u>Learn more about the OECD<\/u><\/h3>\n<p>The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is an international organisation that works to build better policies for\u00a0better lives.
