Prior to this\, he managed review work on global surveillance\, G20 prospects\, and spillover analysis. Vikram was earlier the IMF’s mission chief for Brazil during the ‘currency wars’ and lead the IMF team that set-up the $70 billion Flexible Credit Line agreement with Mexico in 2009 in the aftermath of the Lehman failure. He has worked on emerging economies in Asia––including Thailand during the Asian crisis––and Eastern Europe and was the Fund’s resident representative in the Philippines.
