He has organized several meetups and hackathons in Fintech as a modest contribution within a larger effort to establish Luxembourg as a leading place for innovation in Fintech. As such\, he and his team are the technological leaders of the Infrachain project\, aiming at operating a distributed ledger (blockchain) over a heterogeneous IT infrastructure. \nAndy’s role as bitFlyer’s COO is the natural result of a career and education that has spanned many aspects of finance and technology\, including roles as the global COO for M&A advisory firm BDA Partners and as the CEO of his own A.I. tech start-up. Andy is a Japanese speaker and has a passion for all things crypto and blockchain-related. He studied robotics in Japan and authored prize-winning research relating to decentralization. Andy has lived and worked in 4 countries across 3 continents\, and as a Blockchain & Fintech commentator is regularly featured in the media and publications including Financial Times\, Business Insider\, Coindesk\, Wired\, Yahoo Finance\, Blockchain Insider\, and Verdict.
