SUMMARY:SFF: GREEN SHOOTS SERIES - The role of technology in green finance
DESCRIPTION:Join this webinar for the launch of the 6th edition of the Global Fintech Hackcelerator (GFH)\, which seeks to apply innovative market-ready solutions to address real industry needs. This year’s focus is on Green Finance and accelerating Singapore’s growth as a Green Finance hub for the region. \nIndustry leaders from across the world have submitted problem statements under the following categories: \n1. Mobilize capital: Improve access to capital for green financial products\, projects or solutions\n2. Monitor commitment: Enhance ease of monitoring commitments pledged to the development of green finance and sustainable projects\n3. Measure impact: Improve efficacy of impact measurements in every phase of green projects and developments \n  \nUp to 15 finalists will be shortlisted through a global scouting programme\, mentored by industry players (Corporate Champions) and will eventually demonstrate their solutions at Singapore FinTech Festival 2021. Finalists will also receive cash prizes of S$ 20\,000 and qualify for up to S$200\,000 MAS FSTI Proof-of-Concept grant to develop a POC in Singapore. \nThe SFF is hosting a launch event which will include an opening keynote by MAS’ Chief FinTech Officer\, Sopnendu Mohanty on the role of technology in Singapore’s ambitions as a Green Finance Hub for the region. \n  \nThis will be followed by a panel discussion on “Role of technology in Green Finance” with: \nBen Balzer – Partner\, Head of Corporate Finance & Advisory for Asia-Pacific\, Oliver Wyman\nConnie Chan – Managing Director\, Investment\, Temasek\nHerry Cho – Managing Director\, Head of Sustainability and Sustainable Finance\, SGX\nPuneet Chaddha\, Member\, SFA Sustainability Committee\nSopnendu Mohanty – Chief FinTech Officer\, Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS)\nTek Yew Chia – Chairman\, Sustainability Subcommittee\, Singapore FinTech Association (Moderator)\nHave any questions for our speakers?
